Call for applications for a training workshop on Digital Evidence in Domestic Courts
The Fénix Foundation will lead a training workshop on Researching the Use of Digital Evidence in Domestic Criminal Courts on November 1-2, 2024, in Cairo, Egypt.
The workshop will train law students and early-career legal researchers from Arab countries in a proven methodology used by the Fénix Foundation to study the treatment of digital evidence in national legislation and case law. Successful workshop candidates will have the opportunity to continue working with the Fénix Foundation and support its mission to develop global guidelines on the use of digital evidence in domestic courts.
The training workshop will focus on the academic resource, the Leiden Guidelines on the Use of Digitally Derived Evidence in International Criminal Courts and Tribunals (2022).
The workshop will be sponsored by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie in the Middle East as part of its commitment to support and promote clinical legal education in Arab countries. The workshop is open exclusively to law students (LLB, LLM and PhD) from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt; Alexandria University, Egypt; and the University of Jordan.
